I bought this for our annual family camping trip coming up next month because it's a hassle to hold a flashlight while setting up the tent, firework or even cleaning up before going inside the tent at the camp site because it gets super dark at night at the mountain. This headlamp frees up my hands and allows me to do many things quickly without having to have my kids hold a flashlight for me. I also purchased LED lantern but they are more for general all around light rather than focused light.The headband is somewhat elastic and very comfortable to wear and the headlight can be tilted down to 90 degrees, which is great for walking at night. I like that it has a rechargeable battery, which can be charged with provided USB cable. Headlight can be zoomed in or out to change the coverage area and I also appreciate that this headlamp can be used as a portable charger to charge my phone in case of emergency. 5 out of 5 stars!I bought it for camping. It’s working amazing and strong lighting. Also light weight. We love it.This seems like a nice headlamp. It’s simple to put on your head and utilize.I also like the easy adjustable light and sizing.Overall it’s nice I thinkI'm a painter and I use this at work to find blemishes that need to be fixed. It works quite well and the brightness is really strong. It's a bit on the heavier side, so coupled on top of a hard hat, it can be straining when wearing it for long hours. The battery is decent, not the best as it doesn't last through a 10 hrs day on high setting and it takes really long to fully charge. Overall though, it's one of the better headlamps out there in terms of brightness and battery life.If you're looking for a headlamp w a comfortable "bare head" fit, several levels of lighting intensity (and for this lamp, you'll be very glad you have that feature), and a rechargeable battery, look no further!I admit, when I first pulled it out of the box it looked... huge and awkward. Don't let its looks fool you.I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed so when I turned it on i had the bulb itself pointed at my face. Several hours later, when the spots disappeared, I was able to resume exploring the rest of the features. I jest here, but just barely!The one small issue i have with the lamp is the batteries, but doesn't affect my overall rating at all. I have never seen batteries this size, and there's a warning in the "sort of" instruction guide that tells you not to run the batteries completely down. If you're anything like me, there will be times when I take the lamp off and set it somewhere for steady light and ultimately forget it's there and it's on and come back to a fully depleted battery. Because I don't recall seeing these kinds of batteries on the battery island at Walmart, they may be a little challenging to find and replace. It may also be a simple Amazon search too, just be aware.As you can see, the light is BRIGHT. It's 225 feet to the woodpile in the picture from where I'm standing. both the wide angle and the narrow beam light it up well enough to see it clearly, and the narrow beam is basically like I was standing next to the pile with a standard flashlight.Yeah, this lamp's a beast, it'd make a fabulous gift, and it'd also make an important item in any "disaster preparedness" kit you may have, depending on where you live.This headlamp is MUCH brighter than other headlamps we've had.The adjustable aluminum lens housing on this headlamp is great - close-up work is brightly lit when zoomed in, and when zoomed out, it shines intense light over a quarter of a mile down our road. It's great for walking our property at night, and when night fishing on our boat.When zoomed out, you can see the grid pattern of the four diode light chips. The diodes on ours are rotated, so the grid is rotated off axis. This is a bit distracting. Haven't taken the lens apart yet - perhaps the chip circuit board can be rotated to fix this...?I like the full tilt range of the lamp - it goes from straight down to several degrees above horizontal.This headlamp uses three 18650 3.7v 2800mAH batteries, each of which are almost the size of a lip balm tube. This makes the pack pretty heavy to wear for extended periods, but the adjustable headband is wide and comfortable.The headband is a bit small even when fully expanded. It is pretty tight when worn over a ball cap or a stocking cap. I think the top band could have been a few inches longer.The batteries aren't a common size, so you won't be running into the local convenience store to buy replacements. But being able to recharge the batteries with a USB cord will be very handy!We've used this headlamp for about 5 hours so far, and 2 of 4 power meter lights are still showing. I don't know yet how long the batteries will last before needing to be recharged.I have not tried the USB output port yet, but this should come in handy to charge cell phones, or power a portable bluetooth speaker.Overall, the materials used and workmanship (aside from our rotated LED chip board) are top-notch - very well made product.My husband and I do wood flooring and we do a lot of new construction jobs, normally there is limited lights and limited power and we like to start early before the sun comes up. Well this light is great for working in the dark. We have tried different lights and can never get the right lighting. And did I mention my husband never has even worn a hat. Well he worked all day with this on,, and it made it easy to see his cutting lines too. He sweats a lot and the light never slipped on him. Biggest kicker we never charged it when we got it and the battery still had 3 bars after all day working. We also used it at night for our golf cart and it shines far. This is a great all around light. This light is very comfortable to wear anytime and for many different activities.
