So for months I have been reviewing and comparing all the options on Amazon for new outdoor lights. Everything I read about similar lights all had issues with corrosion after time. The Stainless Steel lights I had were corroded and I know true stainless steel is not $50. I really wanted something unique that you will not find on every other house in the neighborhood. So I settled on these and at first I was surprised that they were not a thin metal but a heavy duty solid feel what I thought was plastic because it was so heavy and thick feeling. I forgot they were aluminum but didn't feel like typical aluminum. When I ordered these I ordered 5000K daylight bulbs as the bulbs that came with this and thats a surprise is they are I believe 3000 with a slight yellow tinge and I wanted bright daylight. The bulbs are not hard to replace but not quick, the tops and bottoms are each individually sealed with 3 Allen screws and a silicone gasket to keep water out. They are sealed very well. I have to say they are beautiful with very nice lines to them that you will NOT find in any other light on the market.I will be honest they were not that simple to install, the installation is straight forward, mount the mounting plate to the electrical box, wire it up and secure it with two heavy duty knurled nuts. Well depending on the size electrical box mounted you will experience some problems. On my garage I had 3 1/2" single gang boxes that the mounting plate was designed to fit perfectly. However my other two boxes were traditional 4" dual boxes with a single receptacle cover plate and this was a problem as the mounting plate holes would not line up with both the top and bottom screws to the electrical boxes. I was left with a couple option at that moment, one was use the adjustable mounting plate and discard the plate that came with the lights, OR simply drill a larger hole in one of the ends of the mounting ring for the screw to pass thru. I included photos of what I am talking about. I do not like the adjustable mounting plate because they just never tighten up and the lights can and will move out of position unless you crank down on the knurled mounting nuts you might never get them off. I chose to drill the hole in their mounting plate. That night my neighbor across the street commented on how much he liked the lights when I had turned them on as he was outside. I have since gotten other comments on how unique the light pattern is and the triangle shape of the fixtures themselves..So not but a couple days after I actually installed these lights which I got in the dark grey because that was the only option I noticed the lights were now offered in black. Well I tossed out the boxes because I had no intention of returning them so I was stuck. I wrote the seller asking if I could return the lights which were days old in perfect condition for the black ones because they matched my home decor better as I just had a black metal roof installed. Now mind you the dark grey is absolutely beautiful it just wasn't as matching as the black. The seller told me that the lamps couldn't be returned because once used they can'r resell them so they, so very generously offered to ship me 4 new black lights at no charge to me and I can do what I want with the grey ones I own... That was not in exchange for any review as I had already assured them I was leaving a positive review when I had the time as I had pictures I wanted to include.. I informed them they had a issue with American 4" cover plates which they told me they would address that issue in changes they were going to make to future lights.. I have never had any company make such a generous offer.I am looking forward to the holidays where I am going to alter the lights with different colored lights on top from bottom... I will surely be the envy of my neighbors as they already copy me replacing my house lights with colored lights to match the holiday..For this price I guarantee you will never find a better quality light. Knowing what I know now I would paid double for this light its that good a quality. I don't have to worry about rust, corrosion or water getting into the figure. I cold not be happier with the lights or the seller who clearly stands behind their product...
